"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."  John 16:33

  • Today felt like the equivalent of a week.
  • We wrapped up a bazillion details with only 20 more to go - they'll wait until tomorrow.
  • Our luggage weighs out at 50 lbs each.  This is no small feat.
  • We said good-bye to the Coopers, for-the-real this time, and prayed with them in the parking lot of Custer's Last Stop (ironically enough).  Ephesians 3:14-19
  • Jason got a shorty-short haircut.  It should last him awhile until our clippers find their way to Haiti.
  • Pastor Larry and his wife Jane with their son John had us over for Swedish pancakes.  It was a memorable meal for our last night in Broken Bow.
  • Jason has been reading Andrew Peterson's books to the kids at night.  By God's design this is serving in such a timely way - to enjoy a fascinating story, consistently, in the middle of so much shifting is something all 3 of them look forward to.
  • Tonight I couldn't stand the thought of our kids sleeping down the hall.  For some reason our 'home' feels foreign and they seemed far away.  So we decided to pull M's mattress in our room on the floor.  Our family needs to be near each other right now.  The kids were happy about this idea (sleepover in mom and dad's room - whoot!).   {for the record - this rarely happens}.
  • Tomorrow morning we'll tackle the next layer of this complex process.  It really has gone so well - unbelievably well.  God is strengthening us and using His children to encourage us and pray for us along the way.  What a blessing!
  • God is Peace!  In Him there is ample peace!  Isn't that a good place to rest!  He is so good.
